The principle of operation of the folding devices is based on the transformation of the rotational movement of the drive shaft into a linear movement of the folding carriage on a smooth shaft in two directions using the interaction of friction forces between the drive shaft and the collars of the ball bearing mechanism for switching the stroke of the folding carriage.

 
By changing the angle of the on-clone of ball-clip holders, the speed of movement of the folding carriage on the smooth shaft is regulated.

1. Install the bracket.

 

On the upper part of the folding carriage there are four threaded holes that are used to install the bracket with guide rollers or other auxiliary equipment.

 

2. Regulation of balance (clearance) of the guide carriage.

 
Regulation of the carriage is provided with the help of guide rollers (C and D) and guide rail (A). If the distance between the two rollers does not match the width of the rail, then loosen the bolt on the lower guide roller (D), rotate the nut (B) until the appropriate clearance for the carriage stroke is established.
 

3.Step controller of the folding carriage.

 

The divisions from 0 to 10 on the scale (A)of the folding cage are used [to establish the step of the carriage. To establish the desired value, it is necessary to press on the indicator (B), oT-dividing it thereby ot the scale, and set the required value .

 

4. Handle free movement.
GP3-20 The handle (A) must be in a weakened state.(Fig.9) (position “0” horizontally), when installed on a smooth shaft (B). When the arm is in a weakened state, the ka-retka can be freely moved along the smooth shoes in any direction. To bring the machine into working condition, you need to return the handle to the vertical position (position “І”).

Installation instruction
It is important to prepare the polished shaft, the guide bar, the end stop lead screw, the endstops, etc. according to the installation dimensions of relative types and the technical requirementsof equipment, as the figure shows.

Polished Shaft Surface hardness: HRC50- -60; Tolerance on diameter: h6; True runningtolerance: <0. 1mm/m; Length: not larger than 20- 30 times of the diameter of the shaft; Leadingend chamfer: 2x 30°.
 
Ratio of take-up reel and the shaft in general, the shaft speed should be smaller than thetake- -up reel speed so that the shaft and traverse drive lives could be increased. It isrecommended that the rotation ratio of the shaft over the take-up reel be 1:1-1:5, with lower ratiofor thicker wires and higher ratio for thinner wires, and the scale indication not being less than 1.
 
Direction of Shaft Rotation the rotation direction of the shaft transmitted by the take- -up reelmay be either positive or negative, however, there is difference regarding the installation positionsof the reversal arm, or otherwise the direction could not be switched. When facing the scale dial,downward rotation is defined as positive. The reversal may be realized only when the trigger rolleris installed backward. The shaft rotation is presetted and installed as in positive direction at thefactory.
